Charles Martinez

Charles Martinez has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology field. Charles began their career at Quantum|ATL Inc, Quantum Inc. as a Manager/Technical Lead in Storage Solutions from May 2000 to September 2002. Charles then co-founded Electric Blueprint Inc., where they served as President and managed all aspects of the business operations from October 1998 to December 2010. Since September 2002, Charles has also worked at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, first as an Architect/Project Lead/Technical Lead until December 2017, and then as an Architect, Global Product Privacy and Security from January 2018 to August 2021. In their most recent role at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, they served as the Group Lead & Architect for Global Product Security since August 2021. Throughout their career, Charles has demonstrated expertise in product security, privacy, and quality management systems. Charles has also contributed to the development of standard operating procedures and training programs in secure code and product security tools.

Charles Martinez received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University, Fullerton, from 1985 to 1988. Prior to that, they studied Biochemistry (Pre-Med) at UCLA from 1982 to 1985. In addition, they have obtained certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practioner (HCISPP) from (ISC)², as well as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from EC-Council.
