Anne Shim

Anne Shim is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and development within the materials science sector. Currently serving as Sr. Director of CCMD at BD since January 2022, Anne previously held the position of Head of Advanced Materials and Systems Research at BASF from November 2017 to January 2022. Additional roles include Technical Director and Director of R&D at Avery Dennison, and Group Leader at Cabot Corporation. Anne's career began as a Technical Leader at Dow Corning. Academically, Anne holds a PhD in Polymer Science from The University of Akron and a Master’s in Engineering with a specialization in chemistry from DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
