Brian Faherty

Brian Faherty is a Senior Systems Scientist at BD, specializing in assay development and high-throughput system instrumentation for molecular diagnostics. Previously, they held positions as a Scientist I and Scientist II at BD, where they contributed to the development of the BD Onclarity HPV Assay and played a key role in COVID-19 related assay projects. Brian also worked as a Research Technologist at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, focusing on early cancer detection techniques. They began their career with a summer externship at the USPTO, assisting in patent decisions related to biotechnology. Brian earned their degree from the University of Maryland College Park.
