Francesco Fusco

Francesco Fusco is a Senior AI/ML Research Scientist and Tech Lead at IBM Research AI since April 2014, focusing on designing innovative algorithms, model architectures, and distributed systems for training, particularly in the realm of LLM alignment for SQL tasks. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Red Hat, where Francesco contributed to high-speed packet processing within the Linux Kernel networking team and secured two patents. A Postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich, Francesco advanced GPU-accelerated database technologies and published four papers. Earlier roles include a PreDoc Researcher at IBM, developing performance monitoring software for IBM storage products, and as a Software Engineer at Endace, specializing in software design for network appliances. Francesco holds a PhD from ETH Zurich and an MSc in Computer Science from Universita' di Pisa.
