John Archdeacon

John Archdeacon is a seasoned Research and Development leader currently serving as Vice President of R&D at BD, where they drive a whitespace Genomics business initiative focused on developing innovative products and commercial processes. Previously, John held significant roles, including Senior R&D Director at BD and R&D Director at Millipore, where they spearheaded projects and built high-performing teams to enhance product pipelines and operational efficiencies. With a career that spans multiple countries and companies in the biotech and medical device fields, John is recognized for their ability to bridge teams and foster cross-functional collaborations. They are pursuing a Ph.D. in Microbiology at University College Cork and hold a BSc in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Limerick.
