Roger Bryan Sutton

Co-Founder & Director, Protein Engineering at Bedrock Therapeutics

Bryan Sutton is a Professor of Cell Physiology and Molecular Biophysics at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. He received his bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from NC State University and his PhD in Structural Biology/Biochemistry from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Dr. Sutton trained with Dr. Axel Brunger at Yale and Stanford Universities on the structures of synaptotagmin and the SNARE complex as they relate to exocytosis. Dr. Sutton’s research currently focus’ on problems related to protein engineering and design, as well as understanding how mutations in the proteins are linked to human disease.
