David Berman is a Strategic Leader driving business success through a vast knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem and extensive experience applying it.
David Berman has a wealth of experience in healthcare with over 35 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently he is on the Strategic Advisory Board for Health Delivery at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as well as holding advisory positions for Intellus as well as many start-ups and established companies. David most recently was Associate Vice President of Global Commercial Capabilities at Merck where he led a team of over 200 professionals spanning such functions as Global and US Market Research, Global and US Advanced Analytics, Forecasting, Digital Content, Launch Planning and Marketing Operations. David drove strategic decisions for BD opportunities, early commercial brand development, product launches, life-cycle management, and pricing, payer, and affordability as a member of the Merck Human Health Leadership Team as well as on the Merck Patient Council.
Prior to joining Merck, David spent 3 years at J&J as Director of Market Research for Virology products. For 10 years before this David owned and operated The Mercury Group, a start-up qualitative market research company focusing on the pharmaceutical industry. David has also worked at Sanofi as well as Bristol Myers Squibb. His experiences span a range of disciplines, including R&D, Clinical Research, Marketing, Market Research, Business Development as well as Global Management.
David received a BA degree in Microbiology and an MBA in Pharmaceutical Management.
