Pierantonio Russo

Chief Medical Officer at BehaveCare

Pierantonio Russo is currently the Chief Medical Officer at BehaveCare. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Health Services and Senior Medical Director at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care from June 2016 to November 2017. In this role, they were responsible for clinical management across various business areas in HPHC markets in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Maine. This included overseeing the appropriate utilization of clinical services, developing and implementing bundled payments, and direct oversight of the UM function, medical policy, Medicare LOB medical management, provider network, and 18 reports.

In addition to their work at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Pierantonio Russo has also lectured on population medicine at Harvard Medical School and served as the Council Chair and Board Member for MHQP-The Massachusetts Health Quality Partners.

Pierantonio Russo is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where they earned their certificate in Health Care Innovation. Pierantonio also has an Advanced Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery from the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Russo is a certified physician from the Medical School at Bologna University in Bologna, Italy, and they also have a certification from NODE.Health in Digital Medicine Foundation.

They work with Mark Treat - Chief Strategy Officer, Dennis Mihale - Chief Clinical Officer, and Colleen Wham - Director, Clinical Operations. Pierantonio Russo reports to Glen Moller, CEO.
