Director, Special Populations & Community Relations at Behavioral Health Services

Raunda Jones is currently the Director, Special Populations & Community Relations at Behavioral Health Services. From January 2004 to December 2007, they were an legal instructor at Maric College. In July 2015, they began working at Behavioral Health Services, Inc. as the Alcohol & Drug Prevention Coordinator. As the Prevention Coordinator and Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor, Raunda provides oversight of daily operations of prevention staff and programs, ensuring timely implementation of work plans and contract requirements. Raunda works with individuals, elected officials and community partners in providing evidence-based strategies and practices such as free Responsible Beverage Service training and Social Host Ordinance education to prevent and reduce substance use/misuse problems and contributing factors in the South Bay Beach Cities. Prior to their current position, Raunda was the Owner of RPK Consulting Group, Inc. from March 2006 to August 2015. Raunda is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Raunda Jones has a Master of Social Work from California State University-Dominguez Hills, a Certificate in Alcohol and Drug Counseling from California State University-Dominguez Hills, a JD from University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from University of California, Los Angeles. Raunda also has a certification from the California Association for Alcohol/Drug Educators as a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor.

Raunda Jones reports to Shirley Summers, President & CEO. They are on a team with Bruce Kinley - Director, Health Center Quality Management, Michelle Venable - Director, Health Center Operations, and Eric Bowen - Director, Information Systems.
