Sheelah Peterson worked for BLC in 2009-2012 as a BT. Through this experience, she became highly motivated to help those without a voice or mode of communication and pursued an undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences followed by a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology at CSUN.
Sheelah returned to BLC in 2019 and is an SLP supervisor for the Infant Developmental Program. She has over 8 years of experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and other special needs.
Sheelah has specific training and experience with the treatment and evaluation of augmentative and alternative communication, fluency, voice, and cognitive-communication disorders.
