Phuong Oanh Tran Stephan

Phuong Oanh Tran Stephan currently serves as the Executive Director and Head of Global Medical Writing at BeiGene since September 2023. Previously, Phuong held the position of Senior Director of Strategy and Scientific Writing for Immunology and Fibrosis at Bristol Myers Squibb from January 2021 to October 2023, where Phuong led a team of over 10 writers to develop regulatory documents for drug development. Earlier roles include Director of Medical Writing at Allergan, overseeing anti-infectives, internal medicine, urology, and gastroenterology, as well as Associate Director at Bristol-Myers Squibb, focusing on clinical documents for regulatory submissions for the Opdivo project. Phuong's career began as Principal Consultant at P.O. Tran LLC and as a Staff Scientist at the Pacific Northwest Research Institute, with a strong background in pharmacology demonstrated by a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota Medical School, earned in 1998.
