Prasanna Kumar

Prasanna Kumar, Ph.D. has a strong background in clinical development and oncology research. Prasanna is currently working as a Senior Director of Clinical Development at BeiGene since 2023. Prior to that, they held the same role at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. starting in 2019. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as the Director of Experimental Medicine (Oncology and Immunology) at Daiichi Sankyo. Before that, from 2010 to 2014, they were an Associate Director of Experimental Medicine (Oncology) at Daiichi-Sankyo. Dr. Kumar also has experience in translational research, having worked as the Senior Director of Translational Research (Oncology) at Intrexon Corporation from 2007 to 2009. Prasanna began their career as the Director of Molecular Therapeutics at RheoGene, Inc. in 2003.

Prasanna Kumar, Ph.D. obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology from the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology in 1991.
