Wim Maes

Wim Maes is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations and category management within the manufacturing sector, particularly in textiles and packaging. Since January 2007, Wim Maes has held various roles at BekaertDeslee, including Category Manager and Director of Operations, overseeing procurement decisions, supplier management, and manufacturing operations in China. Prior to this, from 1999 to 2006, Wim Maes was Managing Director for Vitalo Packaging in China, leading startup ventures and managing industrial enterprises. An engineering graduate from HOWEST Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen, Wim Maes has a solid foundation in mechanics and has successfully managed diverse teams and projects across multiple countries, including significant contributions to the establishment of manufacturing plants in China and Indonesia.
