Joey Heard has a diverse work experience in the electrical industry. Joey started their career as an Apprentice Electrician at Brimson Electric in 1988 and worked their way up to become a Journeyman Electrician specializing in Residential, Commercial, and Hospital electrical systems. During this time, they obtained a Monroe and Miami-Dade County Journeyman's license.
In 1992, Joey joined Design Electric, Inc. as an Electrician before transitioning to Belco Electric, Inc. where they held various roles throughout their tenure. Joey initially served as an Electrician and quickly advanced to the position of Assistant Project Manager. In this role, they were mentored by project managers and the company's Vice President and President, gaining experience in estimating, project management, and personnel responsibilities.
Joey's dedication and skills led to further promotions within Belco Electric, and they eventually became the Director of Service Operations in 2006. In this capacity, they oversaw all service projects, both small and large, and managed all aspects of project design.
Currently, Joey holds the position of President at Belco Electric, Inc., a role they assumed in October 2022.
Joey Heard attended Miami Southwest from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Master Electrician degree in Electrical Contracting. Prior to that, they attended Miami Sunset Senior High from 1985 to 1988 and obtained a High School Diploma in General Studies. Joey Heard also holds an additional certification as an Unrestricted Master Electrical Contractor Class II from the State of Georgia, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
