Peter Grevendonk has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Peter is currently serving as the Head of Trade Finance & FI Coverage at Belfius since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Byblos Bank Europe as the Head Financial Institutions and Trade Finance Sales from 2019 to 2020.
From 2011 to 2017, Peter worked at ING, where they initially started as the Trade Finance coverage lead for African markets and later became the Head of Financial Institutions Africa. Peter focused on developing strategies and relationships with financial institutions in various African countries, with a particular emphasis on Trade Finance, Payments, Financial markets, and Debt Solutions.
Peter also served as a Member of the Board of Directors at the Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (ABLCC) from 2012 to 2016.
Earlier in their career, Peter held roles at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. as the Director Emerging Markets - FIG, Fortis Bank Nederland as the Associate Director Structured Finance, and Fortis Bank New York as the Vice President Institutional Banking (Latin America). Peter also worked as a Management trainee at Fortis Bank NV/SA and as a Deputy Director at Flemish Administration.

Peter Grevendonk has a diverse education history rooted in law. Peter obtained a Master's degree in Corporate Law from KU Leuven in 2000-2001. In the same period, they also completed a Master's degree in Droit Economique from Université libre de Bruxelles. Additionally, they pursued a Master's degree in Law from the University of Deusto in 1999-2000. Prior to that, they completed their initial Master's degree in Law at KU Leuven from 1994 to 1999.
