Safaa Charafi

Safaa Charafi is a highly accomplished professional in the fields of gender and urban development, currently serving as the Founder of Urban Inclusion and as a Gender and Urban Expert for the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region. Since April 2023, Safaa has also held various roles, including Fellow at Belgium's 40 under 40, Investment Committee Member at Impact Shakers, and Research and Partnerships Officer at UNOPS, where contributions include the development of the Her4Water toolkit to address women's vulnerability in water governance. Additional expertise is showcased through positions such as Gender and Housing Consultant at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Senior Gender and Urban Expert at Agence Française de Développement.
