Josh Thomas

Josh Thomas has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Josh started their career in 2005 as an IT Staff at Orchard Place, where they provided network services for approximately 150 employees across 5 locations. Josh then joined the United States Marine Corps in 2006 and served as a Tactical Data Specialist, handling various IT equipment and supporting high-ranking Marines. Josh later became a Marine Security Guard, safeguarding classified information and protecting embassy personnel. In 2012, they worked as a Counter Intelligence Agent at Geek Squad, sharpening their troubleshooting skills and focusing on customer service. Currently, Josh is the Director of Information Technology at Belin McCormick, P.C., where they manage the Exchange environment, designs IT systems, and handles email policies and retention.

Josh Thomas attended Simpson College from 2015 to 2020, majoring in Management Information Systems. Prior to that, they studied Computer Engineering at Iowa State University from 2012 to 2013, and again from 2005 to 2006. Before starting at Iowa State University, they completed a program in Information Technology Network Administration at Des Moines Area Community College from 2004 to 2005. In terms of certifications, Josh obtained the Security+ certification from CompTIA in 2008.
