Jack Norton

Senior Director, Electrical Engineering at Belkin International

Jack Norton's work experience begins in 1990 with Norton Computer, where they worked as a Technology Consultant, designing and developing consumer products and imaging applications. Jack also founded their own company, NB Digital, in 2004. In 1995, they founded Perception Systems and invented the world's first computer vision-based video game controller. Jack then worked at Boss Film Studios as the Director of Research and Development, leading a software development team for visual effects. In 2000, they founded Zero Wait and served as the CTO, developing a vector-based graphics system. From 2009 to the present, Norton has worked at Belkin, starting as a Consultant and working their way up to the roles of EE Manager, Director of Electrical Engineering, and Senior Director of Electrical Engineering. In 2019, they founded NT2, where they designed and fabricated a prototype for a mobility assistant device. Overall, Norton has a diverse background in hardware and software development, with experience in various industries such as film, gaming, and consumer electronics.

Jack Norton attended the University at Buffalo from 1976 to 1980, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Later, from 1982 to 1986, they attended UCLA Extension to study Computer Software Engineering. However, no degree is specified for this period.
