Steven Flaten

Steven Flaten has worked for Bell Bank since 2021 as the Senior Vice President of Credit Risk and Regulatory Affairs. Prior to that, they had a 33-year career at FDIC, where they held the role of Field Supervisor. During their time at FDIC, they gained extensive knowledge and experience in various areas such as strategic planning, board operations, audit, credit risk, risk management, and personnel management. Steven supervised a staff of up to 60 employees.

Steven Flaten earned a Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance from the University of North Dakota, attending from 1983 to 1987. Later, they pursued a Graduate Degree in Banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying from 2000 to 2002.
