BBP is a third generation family construction business delivering commercial, industrial, retail, facades and insurance reinstatement projects throughout the UK since 1982. Initially operating exclusively within the steel fabrication industry, we progressed to Main Contracting in 1985, when we recognised the value we could deliver Clients in providing end-to-end turnkey building solutions. Particularly so, in steel framed, clad buildings, procured on a design and build basis, which have always been the core skillset of our business. Today, those family values and skills, are upheld and remain true to what we do. It has provided a platform for the Company to evolve and, consequently, meet the aspirational challenges of the construction industry. In 1999, we moved into our custom-built facility in the southside of Glasgow and in 2015 we obtained ISO 9001 accreditation together SafeContractor, CHAS, Constructionline and CE marking. Our custom-built facility includes a 6,000 sqft steel fabrication facility with our adjoining office retaining our in-house design, commercial, construction, accounts and administrative staff. This in-house ability is pivotal to our market position as one of the UK’s foremost design and build contractors. The benefits of our expertise and capabilities are often under-rated. For design, we can assume lead and develop the Client’s concept from an early stage, through planning and warrant to approvals and eventual successful build. Alternatively, supporting a pre-existing design or novated design team and working closely with them to ensure successful adoption and/or evolution of an inherited design, to successful build. For construction, we buy direct from steel stockholders and the market leading cladding suppliers, resulting in lower baseline costs and reduced lead in time. Additionally, we offer certainty on quality and delivery as we are directly in control of those key elements. Those benefits are entirely transferrable to our Clients.
