James Pleis

James Pleis currently serves as the VP of Finance at Bell International Laboratories since November 2022, bringing extensive experience from a 21-year career at Cargill. At Cargill, James held multiple leadership roles, including Finance Director for the Global IT and Data Functions, where oversight of a $1B+ budget involved financial planning, project evaluation, and operational efficiency improvements. Other notable positions included Regional Audit Representative for EMEA, Financial Controller for North American animal protein businesses, Business Unit Controller for a major Foodservice unit, and Location Controller for a new facility. Additionally, James taught Managerial Accounting as an Adjunct Professor at Midland University from August 2016 to August 2017. Academic credentials include an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, a B.S. in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Midland University, and a program in Transformational Leadership from INSEAD.
