Marisa Plescia

Marisa Plescia currently serves as Vice President Elect on the SCC Board of Directors, with ongoing experience as a Senior Product Innovation Chemist at Bell International Laboratories since April 2017, contributing to formulation and product development. As Chair of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists - Twin Cities Chapter since November 2020, Marisa has also held the position of Research Scientist at NakedPoppy and completed a research and development internship at The Honest Company. Previously, Marisa led the Science Department at Fusion Academy, overseeing a team of teachers while also writing a comprehensive chemistry curriculum for multiple states. Academic qualifications include advanced degrees in Cosmetic Science, Business Administration, and Education, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from Santa Clara University.
