Alistair Brown is a digital and technology consultant with a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Alistair started their career in 1992 at Financial Times Electronic Publishing, where they served as the Head of Web Product Development, overseeing web product strategy and development. In 2000, they joined scotsman.com, The Scotsman Publications Ltd., as the Head of Online Operations before being promoted to General Manager in 2003. During their time there, they significantly grew the monthly unique users on scotsman.com from 300,000 in 2001 to 3.8 million in 2006. Alistair then joined The List Digital, The List Ltd. as General Manager in 2007, before moving to STV Group in 2008. At STV Group, they held the roles of Head of Digital from 2008 to 2011, and later became the Chief Technology and Platforms Officer from 2011 to 2018. Most recently, Alistair has been working as a Digital Consultant, Advisor, and Director for various companies since 2018. Additionally, in 2017, they co-founded Bellfield Brewery, where they also serve as a Director.
Alistair Brown pursued their education at the University of Sunderland from 1985 to 1988. Alistair obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Communication Studies during this period. Later, in 1994 to 1995, they attended London Guildhall University and completed a Master of Science degree in Multimedia Systems.
