Christian Eriksen is an experienced professional with a strong background in policy, research, and journalism. As the Head of Policy and Research at Bellona since November 2016, Eriksen has contributed significantly to the organization's initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as a power market consultant at Pöyry from November 2012 to November 2016 and working as a freelance journalist for Dagens Næringsliv and Finansavisen between 2011 and 2012. Eriksen also held positions as a research assistant at EPFL and as the editor-in-chief of Under Dusken. With an MSc in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, complemented by an exchange program at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Eriksen combines academic expertise with practical experience in various sectors.

• The Bellona Foundation is an independent, non profit, science based environmental organization, founded in 1986. Our main objective is to combat problems of environmental degradation, pollution-induced dangers to human health and the ecological impacts of economic development strategies. • We works towards international co-operation and legislation to protect nature and improve the environment, in support of the public's right to enjoy clean air, soil and water, and to guarantee the provision of correct information about threats against the environment. • Bellona strives to inform the public, and in particular lawmakers, opinion leaders and the media about environmental hazards, and helps draft policy responses to these problems. • Our aim is to present feasible solutions to the environmental challenges facing us. We believe that it is possible to solve the environmental challenges in a constructive and progressive way, and that the industries will be able to adapt to new challenges, providing they get proper long term and predictable framework conditions. • The Bellona Foundation has branches and offices in Norway (Oslo), EU (Brussels), Germany (Berlin) and Russia (St. Petersburg and Murmansk). The Foundation is also the initiator of the Environmental Rights Center in St. Petersburg, Russia.
