Chuck Smith has a diverse and extensive work experience. Chuck is currently a Partner at Southeast Cannabis Company, where they started in January 2022. Chuck also holds the role of General Partner at Good Seed Capital since October 2022. Previously, they worked as a Partner at Island Peak Capital Advisors starting in January 2022.

Chuck has an extensive background in the cannabis industry. Chuck served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BellRock Brands, a multi-state operator with a broad portfolio of cannabis brands, including Mary's Brands, Dixie, Rebel Coast, and Défoncé. Chuck joined BellRock Brands in October 2020 and continues to hold a board member and founder position.

Before their role at BellRock Brands, Chuck was the President and CEO of Dixie Brands, Inc., where they played a crucial role in its growth from a small operation to a leading manufacturing facility in the marijuana industry. During their tenure from April 2016 to October 2020, Dixie Brands expanded its product portfolio, entered new states, and established strong partnerships.

Prior to Dixie Brands, Chuck co-founded and served as the Chief Operating Officer of Dixie Elixirs & Edibles from April 2010 to April 2016.

Before entering the cannabis industry, Chuck had experience in the real estate sector. Chuck was the President of Bella Terra Realty Holdings, LLC from February 2007 to September 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal at Sagebrush Realty Development from 2002 to 2007.

Chuck also has previous experience in the technology and software industry. Chuck held various sales positions at Slam Dunk Networks, Inc. from 2000 to 2002 and at Walker Interactive Systems from 1991 to 2000, where they served as VP of Sales, Sales Director, and Sales Manager.

Chuck Smith earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business/Management from the University of Maryland, which they attended from 1979 to 1984.
