Thompson Maher

Thompson joined Bellwether Enterprise in 2020 following the acquisition of his company, Maher Commercial Mortgage LLC, formerly a part of Wells Fargo. Thompson is responsible for the Philadelphia office and the production team that also joined Bellwether in 2020. Spanning his 37-year career, Thompson has direct and indirect experience in over 500 transactions representing $8.5 Billion of debt and equity capital. As the founding member of Maher Commercial Mortgage and its predecessors, Thompson was an integral part of the company’s growth from a small regional mortgage banking firm to a national platform. During his career at MCM the servicing portfolio grew from $300 million to $3 billon of current outstanding balances representing 20 institutional investors, including life insurance companies and pension fund advisors.

Thompson is a graduate of Washington College, Chestertown, MD, class of 1983, with a B.A. in Economics.
