Derek Sullivan

Derek Sullivan is an accomplished volleyball coach currently serving as Head Men's Volleyball Coach and Assistant Men's Volleyball Coach at Belmont Abbey College since January 2020. In addition to this role, Derek has been a coach at Carolina Union Volleyball Club since August 2015, where responsibilities include conducting clinics and supporting various teams. Previous coaching experience includes positions at William & Mary as a Volleyball Volunteer Assistant Coach, K2 Volleyball Club, and summer coaching roles at multiple institutions such as the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and Appalachian State University. Derek's professional background also includes roles in driving and guest services with Dunbar Armored, UPS, and the U.S. National Whitewater Center. Academically, Derek holds a Master’s Degree in Organized Crime, Terrorism and Security from the University of Essex and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Belmont Abbey College.
