Belmont College
Desiree Lyonette has extensive experience in the fields of education, mediation, and law. Since August 2012, Desiree has served as a faculty member at Belmont College, teaching courses in Criminal Justice and related subjects while coordinating student internships. With a background as a mediator since May 1999, Desiree has conducted over 3,000 mediation sessions in various court programs and holds additional roles as an attorney licensed in Ohio and as a contract mediator for government conflict resolution services and public record disputes. Desiree has also served as a contract arbitrator for disputes involving manufacturer defects through the Better Business Bureau. Previous positions include Republican Supervisor for the Lucas County Board of Elections, a contract mediator for the Ohio Department of Education, and co-director of family mediation at Catholic Charities Northwest Ohio. Desiree's academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from The University of Toledo College of Law.
