Brian Joy

Brian Joy is a seasoned professional in institutional research and higher education, currently serving as a Senior Institutional Research Analyst at Belmont University since June 2017. In this role, Brian has spearheaded the development of the Student Success & Flourishing dashboard and a test-optional merit aid awarding model, significantly enhancing the understanding of the student experience and equitable distribution of institutional aid. Prior to this position, Brian held various roles at Vanderbilt University, including Institutional Research Analyst and Survey Data Analyst, where responsibilities encompassed enrollment management modeling and data visualization. Brian also has experience as a Practicum Student in Undergraduate Admissions, a Policy and Assessment Intern at the Tennessee Department of Education, and a leader in student organizations, showcasing a comprehensive background in research, assessment, and student engagement. Brian earned a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Florida.
