M. Kevin Smith

M. Kevin Smith, MD, PhD, MMHC, MACP, serves as an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Physiology at Belmont University since August 2022. Prior to this role, M. Kevin Smith held various positions at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from January 2011 to August 2022, including Internal Medicine Physician, Associate Medical Director of the Center for Health Information Management, and Medical Director of the Vanderbilt Executive Health Program. M. Kevin Smith also worked as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Vanderbilt University during the same period and served as Medical Director of West End Medical Group with Saint Thomas Physician Services from June 2007 to December 2010. As an owner and physician of M. Kevin Smith, MD, PC from May 2001 to June 2007, M. Kevin Smith built a foundation in clinical practice. Educational achievements include a BA in Chemistry and Physics from the University of Mississippi, a PhD in Molecular Physiology and Biophysics, and an MD from Vanderbilt University, alongside a Master of Management in Health Care from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management.
