Marieta Velikova serves as a Member of the Board of Directors and Vice President at the Tennessee World Affairs Council, holding a significant role in global engagement since January 2015. At Belmont University, Marieta has had a distinguished career since August 2006, currently as the Director of the Center for Global Citizenship and a Professor of Economics, with expertise in various economic disciplines including international business and econometrics. Leadership in study abroad programs to destinations such as Brazil, Japan, and Cuba highlights a commitment to global education. Marieta has held board positions with Sister Cities of Nashville and the Turkish American Chamber of Commerce-SE, among other organizations.
