Sheryl Handley

Sheryl Handley is a seasoned laboratory manager with extensive experience in both academic and medical institutions. Currently serving at Belmont University since August 2016, Sheryl provides essential support for classroom and research laboratories in the College of Pharmacy, focusing on health and safety, budget management, supply inventory, and equipment maintenance. Prior to this role, Sheryl spent over 13 years at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where significant responsibilities included supervising laboratory operations, conducting research, and managing equipment and staff. Sheryl's career began in education as a high school science teacher and progressed into research positions, including roles as a bioanalytical chemist and research specialist. Sheryl holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Seton Hall University.
