Belstra
Philip Leman has extensive work experience in the dairy industry. Philip started their career as a Dairy Herd Manager at Sunny Ridge Dairy in 2001 and worked there until 2010. In 2011, they joined EJ Dairies Inc as a Dairy Farm Manager and stayed there until 2013. From 2013 to the present, Philip has been working at Belstra, where they have held various roles including Dairy Service Manager, Director of Sales, and currently as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Philip Leman completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University, where they studied from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate's degree in Agronomy and Crop Science from the same university, which they pursued from 1996 to 1998.
Belstra
Who we are: Belstra Milling is a family-owned regional independent feed manufacturing company located in the northwest Indiana town of Demotte. Albert "Bud" Belstra established the company in 1954. What we do: Our main business is manufacturing feed for livestock; mostly swine and dairy. During the 1990's, a relationship with Pig Improvement Company (PIC), a swine genetics company, grew such that today, we think of ourselves as a "supplier of genetics". Not only do we represent PIC but we work with producers to help them maximize their operations through knowledge gained on the farms we manage.
