Basma Rady has a diverse work experience in various industries. Basma started their career as a Risk Analyst Intern at Commercial International Bank, where they analyzed multi-billion EGP retail bookings portfolio. Basma then moved on to Schlumberger as a Business Analyst Intern, where they created a framework for supply chain spend data aggregation.
Afterward, Basma joined EY and held multiple roles, including Business Analyst, Senior Analyst, Assistant Manager, and Manager in the areas of Valuation & Business Modelling and Data Science. At EY, they worked on complex securities valuation, utilizing MATLAB simulations and analyzing the fair value of various financial instruments.
Basma later served as the Founder and Head of Data Science and Advanced Analytics Hub at The Central Bank of Egypt. Basma led a team as the Team Leader Data Scientist and played a crucial role in establishing the department.
Currently, Basma is working at Beltone Financial as the Chief Data Scientist - Director, responsible for leading data science initiatives. In addition, they are an Adjunct Faculty member at The American University in Cairo.
Throughout their career, Basma has demonstrated strong analytical skills, expertise in data science, and a proven track record in making strategic decisions.
Basma Rady completed their Master's Degree from Cornell University from 2014 to 2016. Basma specialized in Operations Research and Information Engineering with a concentration in Financial Engineering. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate education from 2008 to 2013 at The American University in Cairo. Basma completed a double major in Actuarial Science and Business Administration with a focus on Finance. Additionally, they obtained a Machine Learning Certificate from Cornell University in August 2022 and an Improvisationally Speaking certification from the Stanford University Continuing Studies Program in March 2022.
