Richard Thompson

Richard Thompson has extensive experience in technology consulting and economic development. Currently semi-retired, Richard serves as President of Thompson International Consulting Inc., where services include technology scouting, grant proposal screening, and product development strategy since 1995. Richard has also worked as a consultant for Ben Franklin Technology Partners since 1999, a leading organization in technology-based economic development. From 2012 to 2019, Richard provided mentoring to businesses in Pinellas County through SCORE. Prior to these roles, Richard was Vice President of Pacific Operations at Fischer & Porter from 1967 to 1994, overseeing business operations in the Pacific region. Richard holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University, obtained in 1964.
