Bill Barlow

Bill Barlow is an experienced transit planner and project manager specializing in sustainable development and transit system enhancement. Currently serving as Semi Retired President of Sustainable Tri-Cities since August 2017, Bill's responsibilities include budget forecasting, grant proposals, and project management for transit upgrades. As a Senior Transit Planner at Atkins Global Solutions since June 2015, Bill focuses on short-range transit planning and compliance for smaller transit systems in North Carolina. Previous roles have included managing federal contracts at RTI International, drafting transit development programs at Stantec, and serving as a Military Base Reuse Planner at STV | DPM. With a strong educational background that includes a Master's degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Bill Barlow has made significant contributions to various transit initiatives throughout a diverse career.
