Cian Martin

Cian Martin has work experience as the Lead Counsel, EMEA at Benchling since 2022. Cian is also serving as an Advisor at Pangea since the same year. Prior to these roles, they worked at Twilio Inc. as the Senior Manager & Lead Counsel, EMEA from April 2021 to July 2022, and as the Senior Corporate Counsel (Segment) from July 2019 to April 2021. Before Twilio Inc., they served as a Senior Counsel at IAC from February 2019 to June 2019, and as a Corporate Counsel from January 2017 to February 2019. Cian took a career break from December 2015 to January 2017. Prior to their career break, they worked as an Associate Solicitor at McCann FitzGerald from January 2014 to December 2015, and as a Trainee Solicitor / Solicitor at Matheson from September 2009 to November 2013.

Cian Martin has a diverse education history in the field of law. Cian completed a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) degree with a specialization in International Law at University College Cork from 2003 to 2007. Following this, Cian pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree at the University of Cambridge from 2008 to 2009. Cian then attended the Law Society of Ireland, where they completed the Professional Practice Course from 2009 to 2012, and obtained a Diploma in Data Protection in 2017-2018. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma in Finance Law from the Law Society of Ireland in 2010-2011. Cian also attended Temple University and received a Diploma in International Law from 2005 to 2006. In 2019, Cian obtained the Certified Information Privacy Professional - Europe certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
