Carrie Smith

Carrie Smith has extensive work experience in the publishing industry. Carrie started their career in 1989 as a Supervising Editor at Macmillan/McGraw-Hill, where they worked until 1993. Following that, they joined Bookspan (Bertelsmann) as the Vice President of Education, Professional, and Lifestyle Book Clubs. From 1993 to 2000, they held this position before moving on to join Benchmark Education Company as the Senior Vice President and Publisher, where they have been since 2000.

Carrie Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of Michigan. Carrie also obtained a Master of Science degree in Bilingual/Bicultural Education from St. John's University.
