Carlos Gaitan

Carlos Felipe Gaitan Ospina is a highly experienced professional in climate science and data analysis, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Co-Founder of Benchmark Labs Inc. since June 2019. In addition to these roles, Carlos acts as an Advisor at Plan C Advisors, focusing on assessing climate risks and applying AI for business impact visualization. Previous experience includes serving as Chief Climate Scientist at ClimateAI, VP of Weather Forecasting at Arable Labs, and Research Scientist at the South Central Climate Science Center. Carlos holds a PhD in Atmospheric Science from The University of British Columbia, along with a Master of Science in Hydro Systems and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
