Benchmark Space Systems
James Brent has worked in the electrical engineering field since 2007. James began their career as an intern for the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, where they taught basic laboratory and electrical assembly skills and supervised students on electrical and mechanical projects. In 2008, they were promoted to Engineering Technician and worked on projects such as Roc Radiation systems and a wireless portable radiation detection system. James then moved to the Army Research Lab in 2013, where they created a wireless mesh network comprised of 11 Series 1 (one) Xbee RF modules. In 2014, they began working as a Product Electrical Engineer for Volvo Group Trucks Operations. In 2015, they joined Vorbeck as a Senior Electrical Engineering Associate and Associate. Most recently, they have been an Electrical Engineer at Benchmark Space Systems since 2019.
James Brent attended Virginia Tech from 2008 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in the field of Electrical Engineering.
