Rachel Marro has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as a Mentor and Co-Director at Women and Youth Supporting Each Other (WYSE) in 2008. Rachel then served as a Program Assistant for the Summer Links Program at the University of Chicago Community Service Center in 2011. In the same year, they were a Research Assistant (Human Rights Grant) at the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation. In 2012, they were a Program Assistant: UChicago Careers in Public and Social Service at UChicago Career Advancement. Rachel then worked as an Outreach and Prevention Specialist at Response in 2013. From 2016-2019, Rachel held multiple roles, including Data Assistant Associate at the Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing, Instructor at IMPACT Chicago Self-Defense, and Full Stack Developer at The Difference Engine. Most recently, Rachel has been a Software Engineer at BenchPrep since 2019.
Rachel Marro graduated from the University of Chicago in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Rachel then obtained a Full Stack Web Developer Certificate from Northwestern University. Additionally, they hold a 40 hour domestic violence training certificate from Between Friends.
