Teyden Nguyen

Teyden Nguyen is a Senior Data Engineer and Tech Lead at BenchSci since May 2021, responsible for leading a team of data engineers and shaping the technical strategy for software pipelines in biomedical data processing to support preclinical drug discovery. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at the UBC Data Science Institute and the Centre for Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics, where Teyden researched statistical and machine learning techniques. Additional experience includes work as a Full Stack Software Developer at PhenoTips, focusing on precision medicine electronic health records, and positions related to bioinformatics and software development at CREA and the Rooney Lab. Teyden holds a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from The University of British Columbia and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science, as well as Psychology from the University of Waterloo.
