James Butman

James Butman has an extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. James most notably served as the President & CEO of TDS Telecommunications LLC, where they were responsible for the company's overall leadership and transforming TDS Telecom into a preferred broadband provider. Prior to this role, they were the Chief Operating Officer of TDS Telecommunications, overseeing various segments of the communications industry. James also held the position of Group President at TDS Telecommunications and President of the CLEC Business Units. Additionally, James Butman has served as a Board Member for UScellular, National Cable Television Cooperative, Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center, TDS, and the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce. James has a passion for building strong relationships, promoting transparency, and caring for customers and employees.

James Butman earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1980. James then completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, General at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. James also holds a certification as a Certified Management Accountant.
