Liz began their career as a freelance designer, working on projects like the Vistas: Visual Culture in Spanish America 1520-1820 multimedia application and companion website. Liz then transitioned into academia, authoring course content for Computer Science graduate students at Sacred Heart University. In their role as adjunct professor, Liz led a class of 30 students through weekly lectures and hands-on demonstrations, providing instruction on software like HTML and Adobe Dreamweaver.

Liz returned to the industry in 2006, taking on the role of creative director at Benebone. In this role, they provide creative direction for all aspects of the company's web presence, from design and content to usability and maintenance.
