William Schubert serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at Benedictine University since August 2016, teaching courses in Environmental Science and contributing to the Engineering Science program. Prior to this, Schubert held various positions at Waste Management from August 1989 to August 2016, culminating in the role of Senior Director of Disposal Operations in the Closed Site Management Group, where responsibilities included oversight of engineering, permitting, and operational maintenance for over 300 landfills in North America and Europe. Schubert's prior roles at Waste Management included Director of Disposal Operations and Environmental Engineering-Staff Vice President, where contributions focused on operational cost reduction, renewable energy improvements, and regulatory compliance. Schubert’s academic credentials include a Master's in Civil Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Marquette University, and a certificate in Corporate Environmental Leadership from Yale University.
