Debbie Sherman

Debbie Sherman has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Debbie began their career as a Dental Assistant at Harold VanderHoek, DDS in 1983. Debbie then worked as a Claims Examiner at American Fidelity Assurance from 1984 to 1989 before joining Mutual Assurance Administrators as a Claims Examiner and later as a Supervisor. In 1990, they became a Claims Manager at Cher Bumps and Associates, where they helped establish a new Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and was responsible for auditing, reinsurance filing, training examiners, and writing policies and procedures. Debbie continued their career at Mutual Assurance Administrators as an Auditor from 2003 to 2008, where they wrote internal policies and procedures, trained employees, and audited examiners on medical, dental, and vision claims. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Claims Trainer/Auditor at Southwest Service Administrators, providing training on policies and procedures, auditing claims, and training customer service representatives. Since 2010, they have been working at BenefitMall, initially as a Senior Claims Auditor and currently as the Director of Business Operations. In their current role, they oversee business operations and manages a team.

Debbie Sherman attended Grand Canyon University from 1981 to 1982, studying Music Performance, General. Debbie then went on to Apollo College from 1982 to 1983, earning a degree in Dental Assisting.
