Karly Chasteen is an experienced educator with extensive expertise in mathematics and academic leadership. Currently serving as the Director of Academics for K-12 at Benjamin Franklin Charter School since June 2018, Karly has held various roles including Director of Data and Strategy, Data Analyst, Curriculum and Instruction Specialist, Math Department Head, and Mathematics Teacher, instructing courses such as AP Calculus AB/BC and Honors/On-Level Precalculus. Prior experience includes a mathematics teacher position at Chandler Unified School District and private math tutoring from 2008 to 2016. Karly holds a Master of Science in Math Education from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Education in Mathematics Teacher Education from the University of Arizona, along with a Bachelor's degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies from Arizona State University.

Benjamin Franklin Charter School is one of Arizona's first charter schools and has been "Educating Arizona...One Student at a Time" TM since 1995. Our mission is to offer a well-rounded education with proven superior academics, exceptional programs, time-honored values and a high level of parental participation. We have three elementary (K-6) campuses and one junior high/high school (7-12) campus located in Arizona's East Valley.
