Leanora Mims has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. LEANORA worked as an Informal V.P. Public Relations for John Alexander, Founder of the CBORD Group, Inc. at Bennett Warren & Associates starting in October 2008. In 2013, Leanora was appointed as the Informal Vice President of Public Relations for the Cornell Board of Directors, where they advised organizations on philanthropy and non-profit start-ups, and mentored students on leadership and graduating high school.

From 2014 to 2021, Leanora held various positions, including a Leadership Coach at Estella's Brilliant Bus, where they provided support to students during a Freedom Riders Anniversary Tour. LEANORA also served as a Public Relations Specialist and Grant Consultant at Color Your Heart Out, facilitating collaborative partnerships and drafting proposals for community organizations.

In 2015, Leanora became a Direct Supervisor at the Mental Health Association of Tompkins County, working closely with the Director of Peer Services. LEANORA also worked as an Adjunct Instructor, Executive Team Leadership Trainer, and Grant Consultant at Keeton House Cornell University. In this role, they developed instructional materials, researched and wrote grants for Ithaca Elite Basketball Programs.

Leanora joined Beyond Differences in 2017 as a Peer Educator/Mentor, and later in 2018, they began working with the Global Brand Marketing and Corporate Development team. In this role, they collaborated with Santonio Holmes, Jr, CEO MVP 43, and Jimmie Vincent, CEO NuView Counseling, on global training and development for violence prevention programs. LEANORA also coordinated grant writing initiatives and trained Global Youth Brand Ambassadors.

Most recently, Leanora started working as an Educator at Sankofa Club within Urban Intellectuals in July 2021. LEANORA continues to contribute their expertise and experience to various organizations and projects.

Leanora Mims has a diverse education history, spanning various fields of study. In 1993, they obtained an Applied Associate of Science degree in Paralegal Studies with a minor in International Business from Tompkins Cortland Community College. LEANORA continued their studies at the State University at New York Tompkins Cortland Community, where they earned an Applied Associate of Science degree in Paralegal Studies with the same minor in International Business in 1996. In the same year, Leanora also completed 120 credits in International Business at SUNY Empire State College.

In 2001, they received a Paralegal Certification from the University of Georgia. In 2004, Leanora pursued an Advanced Professional Studies degree in the field of Advanced Professional Studies from Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business, which they completed in 2011.

In 2018, Leanora expanded their skills by earning an Educational Certification in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math from the University of Michigan. Additionally, Leanora possesses several additional certifications, including Education Law Seminar from Cornell Law School, Trial Preparation in a Criminal Case from the National Association of Paralegals, and New York State Certified Peer Specialist from Rutgers University Behavioral Health. Lastly, Leanora obtained a certification as a STEM.ORG Certified Educational Instructor.
