Mehedi Hasan Sizar (He/Him)

Mehedi Hasan Sizar'25 is currently a Computer Science Tutor at Bennington College, where he collaborates closely with professors Dr. Meltem Ballan and Dr. Darcy Otto to enhance student comprehension in various computer science disciplines. Since September 2022, he has also been serving as a Mathematics Tutor, working alongside Dr. Kathryn Montovan and Dr. Andrew McIntyre to support students' mathematical learning. In addition to his tutoring roles, Sizar is making significant contributions as a Data Analyst Intern at Bennington College's IT office. Under the guidance of Nathan Boyer, he works on important data analytics that support the college's operational management.

Sizar is a distinguished Presidential Scholar currently studying Computer Science and Mathematics at Bennington College. His academic journey is complemented by a series of internships and roles that showcase his growing expertise in technology and data science, including his previous position as a Data Science Intern at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, where he employed advanced machine learning techniques for healthcare analytics. He gained practical experience in web app development and technical content writing during his previous role at Zars IT as a technology intern. Currently, he is deeply involved in the Google Developer Student Club at Bennington as a Technical Lead, where he leads workshops and mentors students in cutting-edge technologies.

Sizar's achievements include numerous awards in regional and national Mathematical and Science Olympiads in Bangladesh, reflecting his passion for mathematics and technology from early age. He also actively engages in volunteering, demonstrating his commitment to community service. In Winter 2024 Field Work Term, he was awarded the Endeavor Foundation Environmental Action Fellowship in recognition of his efforts to combat climate change and create a sustainable world.
