Craig Rohr

Craig has significant investment experience in the energy, renewables and sustainability sectors.

Craig serves as Senior Managing Director for Magnetar’s MTP Group, and was President of Star Peak Corp II, the public entity that merged with Benson Hill.

Founded in 2005, Magnetar is a leading alternative asset manager with approximately $13.8 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2021.

Prior to joining Magnetar in 2009, Craig worked for First Reserve Corporation, a global control private equity and infrastructure investment firm, where he focused on its portfolio company investments across North America, South America and Europe, and was based in London. Prior to First Reserve, Craig worked for Citigroup’s Global Energy Investment Banking Group.

Currently, Craig serves on the boards of directors for Vesper Energy Development LLC and Lightstar Renewables LLC, Magnetar portfolio companies operating in the utility scale solar and distributed solar space. Craig earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Notre Dame.
